Character: Alfie is a truly gorgeous Staffy/English Bull terrier crossbreed who, we are told, is 10 years old, although he does not look or act like an old boy. He is absolutely delightful to have around, because he is such a laid back, tolerant and gentle boy. He gets on really well with other dogs, and humans – absolutely loves attention and a cuddle, or to play a game of tug or chase. He loves his food but does not guard it, enjoys his toys but is not possessive about them. He enjoys his walks. He does not walk to heel but does not pull too much on his lead either, and he travels well in a car. He seems to be toilet trained but as he spent some time in a pound, he may need reminding to establish a good toilet routine.
Alfie is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, flea and worm treated.
Whoever adopts this boy will be very fortunate. He will make the most amazing companion.
Type of home required: Alfie needs a relaxed home with someone who will be around for much of the day to give him the attention he enjoys. He enjoys gentle exercise but does not need excessively long walks. He would make a fabulous companion for a retired individual / couple.
Alfie is gentle and fine with children, but we would prefer him to be rehomed with children aged 10 or over only, who are respectful of dogs. He is currently in a foster placement with other dogs, and he gets on fine with them.
He truly is the sweetest of boys who just wants a comfortable sofa, and a kind owner to whom he can be loyal, for the rest of his happy days.
